The Perumbavoor

Perumbavoor  town lies betweenMuvattupuzha and Angamaly on the Main Central Road (MC), which connects Angamaly to Thiruvanthapuram through the old Travancore dynasty  part of Kerala. Perumbavoor city lies in the banks of rivers Periyar and Muvattupuzha.

Perumbavoor  is one of the most strategically located industrially developing towns in Kerala, since its close to Ernakulam city  where the city grows further towards east. There are many small-scale industries on the Aluva - Perumbavoor area. It is a usual seenery of Trucks carrying wood and allied products like plywood travel from Perumbavoor to other parts of the country. Packaging and carton industryius also growing fast. Food processing, especially of rice and condiments, is also one of the prominent local industry give jobs to many.

Perumbavoor hosts  many immigrants from other parts of India. Most work in the plywood or other industries. Tamils and Nepalese have special colonies of their own in the city.
